FIRST has posted the District point format for this season here http://goo.gl/YbUFQV. Looks like the points for qualifying are awarded based on rank and event size as a number between about 3 and 22. I think it would be reasonable to just use this or a simplified version for FF. Only issue might be that we already give points for ranking, so it would be double points.

Let's see here. I've got a couple items of business.

First, waivers, specifically Midwest.
--We've got several waivers out, one challenged. I figure Saturday timeframe for those, giving three days total. [Edit: Or so. Lone Star has one awarded due to list position, one challenged.]
--Midwest has taken way too long, that's on me. The team in question: 16. When I announced the hold, I forgot to say which order would be used to award the claim, so for this instance I will be using the original order. (No awards affected--I checked before running that batch of waivers.) Rotten Peach Alliance takes 16 (and goes to the bottom of the list). (In future, I'll try to remember to announce "previous" or "next" order if a similar situation happens.)

Second, SCORING. I know this is kind of hanging on us, and we need to finish getting all squared away. So...

--First question for y'all, are you thinking you'll be OK with the FIRST district point system, or do we want to try something else? I've seen cumulative score, some equations giving +- the "right" amount of points for the guesstimated wins, and there's FIRST's system which is basically ranking, which we already give points for. I will say that if we go with FIRST's system for this year, we would probably not give ranking points for top 15 like normal.
--Second item, we're probably going to need some bodies on this. I think Brandon_L had something with an automatic scoring going, but I'm not entirely sure on where it's at (and I'm willing to bet it needs tweaking). Even then, we'll need some help to score players' alliances. I'll re-post the link to the alliance document once I'm sure it's up to date.

Draft Lock: Week 1 events lock at midnight on 2/25 (Wednesday night, in other words).

The current alliance sheet is up at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...EwM/edit#gid=0. I update this whenever a change is confirmed; it should be up to date (pending waiver runs from the next round, of course).

This is just the alliances, in drafted order by event.

Curious what you're thinking--as in to the event page, or to the event's draft thread, or to each team in the event... So many possibilities, so little time.

I'm pretty sure it's possible to embed a link into a Google sheet.

Yes it is. Could possibly link to both. But if it is autoscored not sure why we need it linked to the events page.

The idea was a separate sheet tab to link to the specific regional on the sheet you created, Eric; that way, we don't have to search around the entire sheet to find the regional that we want to review our roster for.

Ah. That might be a *bit* harder. I might be able to break it up by competition weeks later today when I get home from being out-and-about, should make it a smidgen easier.

Rotten Peach, please wait for waiver claims to be CONFIRMED before editing the spreadsheet. Someone edited all your claims into the spreadsheet last night (except for the challenged one). If that wasn't you guys, I apologize.

Breakfast Company gets 624 in Lone Star, giving up 5503. I've already updated the spreadsheet, someone want to update the thread?

As a reminder, all Week 1 rosters will lock at midnight tonight (eh, let's call it midnight PST this time--doesn't make a whole lot of difference, we'll probably all be sleepin' anyways.)


All District Draft rosters will remain available for change after that point; however, all players are reminded that changing a team with > 1 event either onto or off of a District Draft roster is not allowed.
