RoboRIO changed its own passwords

It doesn't seem possible, but the roboRIO's admin password has changed to something other than blank, and will now not allow code to be run. I can still log into lvuser, but cannot su either. I can't run code from eclipse to the RIO, and I need an admin password to reimage the roborio. I have tried booting the RIO into safe mode, with the same result.

We have an extra RIO, so its not a huge predicament, but I would prefer not having a $500 paperweight.

Re: RoboRIO changed its own passwords

First, I'd ask around and see if anyone remembers changing the password.

If that is a dead end, contact the NI phone support. They know how to make paperweights into other objects, like robot controllers.

Re: RoboRIO changed its own passwords

Thanks, I have already contacted the only other person on the team that could have changed it. Where could I find the NI support number?

Re: RoboRIO changed its own passwords

ni.com/frc and read the left column. It tells you the hours and numbers to call. This probably isn't something they can do via phone support.
