Top Gun - 1294

Sorry this is a little bit of an unprofessional video, but we wanted to showcase our robot as soon as possible!

Nice robot! What are the two... for lack of a better term, wooden hammer-like things, on the back? They appear to be hinged, but we never see them move in this video.

I was wondering this too. Cool robot. Hope we see you at District Championships!

Jason
I'm putting $1 on 'something to grab or knock two or more RCs from the barrier.'

Re: Top Gun - 1294

The two arms on the back of the robot are for holding 2 cans (Recycling Containers).

They are to be used in autonomous to carry 2 of the 3 cans next to the driver stations to the auto zone. They can start deployed out sideways "almost" touching the handles of the cans. This should get them out of the way for any team that wants a clear path to stacking the 3 yellow totes (I bet there are a few teams who would appreciate this). Also, only one more robot needs to grab the 3rd can to get the 8 auto points for a container set. This should be especially useful at 1294's week 1 and week 2 district competitions.

They can also be used in tele-op to drive into the gap in the middle of the landfill and reach sideways to grab the two center cans on the step.
