Re: Team 1014 Promo video
Thanks. This was an interesting project because it was the first time we had reached out to the broader school and community for help with the video. We had a script, the music and a good idea but we got the video production class (and one of their students in particular did the primary photography and all of the rough cut editing) to do the camera and base editing work. The video is an attempt to make more students in the district aware of the team. We represent all three high schools in the district, but 55 of the 72 members are from one school, the one where we work. So we are trying to get more kids involved from the other schools. Getting the video production students involved from all three schools helps spread the message. We also got a choir teacher to help the student team members who did the singing, and a public library director helped us with the music. Our school district public relations director is helping to get the video views in the community.
This has been a really good lesson in how asking for help can not only bring you the help you want but can help you make connections with others.
