If your controls will allow it, a pair of quick-grips or similar type of clamps would be fast to install and provide good security of your control system.
I would not recommend any type of tape, as any sticky residue left on the shelf will just accumulate and gum up over time. FIRST would surely intervene here. Thanks, Andy, for the heads up advice!
