Re: Moving on in competition
Congrats on your district victory! By placing first at the event you have earned a fair amount of points that will definitely help you advance to the district championship in Spokane.
However, you do still need to attend and perform well at a second district event (I see you're scheduled for Auburn), and then if you have enough points after that you will be notified that you have qualified for the district championship. Rankings for all teams involved with districts can be found here. |

Re: Moving on in competition
The only thing that automatically advances your team and robot to the District Championship is winning the Chairman's Award.
64 teams move on to the District Championship, 10 of them by winning Chairman's and the other 54 are based on the point earned at your first two district events in chronological order. Because some of the points are awarded based on ranking after qualification rounds and the alliance selection process it is entirely possible that a team or teams that did not win the event earned more points than your team. Hopefully everything goes as planned and you will be able to see your current points and where you rank here: http://frc-districtrankings.usfirst.org/ by 9am Pacific Time on Mon. |
