DS logs reporting disabled during a match

Over the weekend, during our first SemiFinal match, our robot was not working correctly with the field. The FTA's came over and told us it was a problem on our side. We started looking at the DS logs, and saw some very odd things, things that I though couldnt happen on the real field. First our ping was high through the entire match, which I would understand. What was even more weird was that the in the logs the DS state was randomly switching between DS teleop and DS disabled. Every other time Ive seen ping issues with robots, the DS always reports teleop, and never actually switches to disabled. Both the CSA and the Head Inspector saw this in the logs and were really confused on why this happened. We worked just fine in every match after, and the only thing we changed was we removed the IP camera we had, but it was using less the 2 MBps, so I really dont think that was the issue.

Did something change in the FMS that makes the DS report disabled if there are ping spikes? The FTA told us that our DS was connected to the FMS the entire time.

The logs are currently sitting in our trailer on our driver station, but I will get them as soon as possible if somebody would like to see them.

Re: DS logs reporting disabled during a match

I was experiencing something like this in practice at our shop. If I left it enabled but idle for long periods of time, the robot would flash between teleopenabled and disabled. Oddly enough, I didn't notice any performance differences; as soon as I attempted to use the robot, it went away. I realize this is about as unhelpful as I can be. Sorry.

Can you post a screen shot of the DS log?

Re: DS logs reporting disabled during a match

When you say the robot flashed back and forth, do you mean the DS indicators on the laptop, or the LEDs on the roboRIO? Also, if you can find the log file of this, it would be very helpful. PM me and I'll give contact info, or you may be able to post it to CD. Note that there are three files with the same time/stamp and different suffixes to make a complete log. It is best to include all three, the .dslog, .dsevent, and .pdplog. Thanks.
