Actually they updated the stream to 720p so check the quality setting to see if you can adjust it.

Re: 2015 Greater Toronto Central Regional (GTRC)
Is 1547 broken, or is them not moving a strategic decision?

Re: 2015 Greater Toronto Central Regional (GTRC)
I just saw 2994 carry a robot on the field that was definitely not in transport config, and it looked it could never get into transport config.
How is that legal? Edit: I see they were disabled. NM Last edited by martin417 : 07-03-2015 at 15:49. |

Re: 2015 Greater Toronto Central Regional (GTRC)
Now that you mention that, 1547 is tethered to 1114s ramp, and the ramp has been being carried onto the field separate from the 1547 robot, not in transport configuration. Has 1547 been disabled each time? They haven't moved

Re: 2015 Greater Toronto Central Regional (GTRC)
1114 dumps a full stack in the finals and still puts out 3 full stacks. What am I watching?

Re: 2015 Greater Toronto Central Regional (GTRC)
With more divisions and less talent in each it will be interesting how this affects who will make to Einstein and who will win.

Re: 2015 Greater Toronto Central Regional (GTRC)
Congratz to 1114, 610 and 1547. What an amazing show of patience, power and precision. Congratz to 188 for the wildcard. You worked hard to earn it. And congratz to all teams at the Greater Toronto Central Regional.

Re: 2015 Greater Toronto Central Regional (GTRC)
Definitely. Luck is always a huge factor at champs. Match scheduling randomization is one thing, but I'm still hung up on the increase in championship slots and divisions. Those changes might have a bigger impact on the higher end play than FIRST anticipated. With any luck, the new ranking system and playoff format will help ease the transition...

Re: 2015 Greater Toronto Central Regional (GTRC)
Team 1547 is delighted to have worked with 1114 and 610 to win the Greater Toronto Central Regional this year. For those who were asking, it was a strategic decision agreed to by all three teams for 1547 to act as a tether for both 610 and 1114's ramps. This was done in order for them to be able to fully maneuver around the field without risk or worry of their robots being tethered to the ramps. This also allowed them access to the human player stations, which was very helpful in the final matches. We did pass transport configuration with the robot, and in order to swiftly go through matches, we loaded the ramps on and off our robot before we got on to the field as requested by the Head Ref.
"Where's Waldo?" is elated to have worked with our friends in order to provide a strong strategy with excellent results. We had such a great time working with all the teams at GTRC this weekend! |

Re: 2015 Greater Toronto Central Regional (GTRC)
Fantastic work 1124, 610 and 1547 and congratulations! What an amazing performance, and it's only week two.
Could someone explain how the tethered ramps work? I mean I certainly see how they speed up feeding from the human player station, but how do you configure the ramp(s) for the three robots as you all are in transport configuration, on the field during match set-up, and then during the match? I could tell from the webcast that a ramp was in place. I just couldn't figure out how it got there. |

Re: 2015 Greater Toronto Central Regional (GTRC)
Quote:
1114's ramp is large enough that they can preload 4 totes on the ramp. This benefits them since their robot can stack faster than a human player can feed through the chute door. I have heard (not done the math myself) that they actually can do stacks from the feeder station faster than 148 this way. I believe that 610's is primarily for making sure that totes that come out of the feeder station land in the correct orientation every time. It is similar to teams placing a tote in front of the chute door to catch all totes that drop out. |
