Re: #Team20PointAuton

Team #319 BOB did it a few times at the Reading NE District. They were close all tournament. Then got it working on Saturday morning. As it turns out, they are right on the edge of getting it done in time so they don't always get the 20 points, but they did it.

Don't have a video link yet.

Re: #Team20PointAuton

After a rocky start Friday morning Team Titanium (FRC 1986) did get the 3 tote auto dialed in. Those 20 points proved to be a significant factor in propelling our alliance to the finals at the Arkansas Rock City regional.

From the blue side in semifinal #3: http://youtu.be/O0eBn4e9X3c?t=1m24s
From the red side in Qual 79: http://youtu.be/zVctb3uXf9Y?t=4m5s

Combined with the 2 can steal we were able to show off in the finals Team Titanium is pleased to bring a full compliment of autonomous modes proven in for our next regional competition (Week 4 St. Louis).

Re: #Team20PointAuton

HOT Team was able to finally accomplish the 20pt auto on Saturday morning in qualification rounds after eliminating all the potential match ending failure modes.

Here is an example of us running it in QF4 @ Waterford - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgFNSd7b5Tk

Nice! I was just noticing that most teams do autonomous the same way, but this is the first one I've seen that travels along the wall like we do.

Re: #Team20PointAuton

We did it repeatedly this weekend - though we had some fails, too... We actually had *five* collisions during autonomous in 12 qualification matches when robots either did something very unexpectedly or the drivers insisted on "strutting" their "I can roll forward!" autonomous. One was as hard as some of last year's collisions when a partner, starting next to the landfill, came flying backwards full speed and creamed is as we were trying to pick up the second tote... Ah, the adventures of competition....

Re: #Team20PointAuton

Team 2337 (3 Tote Stack Auton), with the help of Team 1322 (3 Can Auton) and 894, was able to be a part of a 32 Point Auton at the Kettering District - Match 65:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41NPeYvjPHY

This match was also the Highest Scoring Match of the Qualification Rounds at 138 points.

Team 2337 auton is ran between the driver station glass and the staging zones. We successfully completed our 3 Tote Stack 8 times during the qualification rounds.

We actually incorporated a set of wheels on the back of the robot that are parallel to the floor to allow us to strafe along the wall easier without snagging on the wall.

Our biggest issue was that we needed a wall to dial in some of the timing and the practice field at Waterford didn't have a wall at all that we could use. If we would have had a wall I think we could have dialed the settings in after our first or second match and been able to do it consistently for every match.

Adam it was a blast to get to play against your team in the Finals. I was hoping that we would have been able to run our 3 tote auto against yours, however we ended up damaging one of our sensors in one of the quarter finals matches trying to dig out the landfill area and had to not run it.

Don't worry though we will have it repaired and ready to go when we see your team over at Livonia.

We did 5 of 8 perfect 28 pts and 2 at 20 points when we missed the last bin and one total fail when we missed the 2nd bin. You can see it here http://youtu.be/nswQ-hb73n0

Very nice. We had tons of programming issues with ours that only started to get worked completely out on Saturday. We were still "tweakling" in the quarter finals but in the QF's to finals we played 8 matches and got 5 of 8 28 point solos and 20 points for bin stack 7 of 8 and totally failed 1 of 8. (We missed the 2nd bin) Congrats to team 67 but I afraid if we are cursed whenever we are in an alliance together!!! Did I say that, I am not superstitious. Where is my rabbits foot.

1519 strafes along the wall in the same way -- I've seen about a half-dozen videos of other teams that use identically this approach. We also have "wall-following wheels" mounted on the back of the robot to aid following the wall.

For video, see https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...DXu8vY#t=24 5 taken by our alliance partners, Team 95 The Grasshoppers from the Week 1 Granite State District Event. (The linked match was the highest-scoring elimination match of the tournament, at 137 points.)
