FRC Driverstation not saving team number and logs

For some reason, my driverstation isn't saving my team number and logs even though I have connected to my robot, enabled it and run commands. Every time I close driverstation, even while I am still connected to my robot's bridge, it resets my team number to #xxyy.

I have tried re-installing the newest version of driverstation from the FRC website and followed every instruction in the tutorial, I have tried changing my IP address in the network settings for IPv4 like you had to do last year, but it still doesn't work.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It sounds like you don't have permission to create/modify files in certain directories.
Specifically,
  • C://Users/Public/Public Documents/FRC
Try starting the Driver Station (right-click) using "Run as administrator..."

I have tried changing the permissions for everything and I have tried starting driverstation in "Run as Administrator" mode but that still doesn't work.

Re: FRC Driverstation not saving team number and logs

Well, you can try getting around the permissions problem.

Try renaming the FRC directory to something else, then creating a new FRC directory in your local Documents folder.
It just won't be accessible from other user accounts.

You don't have the Driver Station running under another user at the same time, do you?

That doesn't work either. I'm going to try creating a new user on my laptop and run driver station from there to see if that changes anything.

Re: FRC Driverstation not saving team number and logs

Ya, that didn't work, so now I am re-installing all of the NI Software on my new user account which is also Administrator.

Re: FRC Driverstation not saving team number and logs

Thanks to everyone that helped me. I got it to work. I created a new user that was admin, went in to Registry Editor and deleted every registry key that was related to FRC and uninstalled and re-installed all of the FRC Software. I also made sure to disable fast-startup when I was installing the FRC Software.
