Looks great. Can't wait to see you guys at FLR. If you're interested check out our release video but know that there will be two new features added on before/during FLR. How was 743 doing? It appears they picked you for elims. ![]() |

It was basically trying to download an entire DVD Movie over 56K to put this into better perspective. A lot of data over a slow connection... Checking FIRST's website everything seems to be there but during the event it was hard to get the stuff uploaded timely without it timing out. |

I have a media contact through the cea for twitch and can try to contact them about allowing first events. I also have a friend who does a weekly tech stream and has a good relationship with first so I'll try to get him to help you guys our for next year. Congratz guys. You are one of the nicest teams and I can't wait to compete with you at sbpli. |

Re: 2015 New York City Regional
One would think, but ultimately to many of the venues FIRST uses throughout the year, they are just another customer and show coming through who gets charged standard rates. It stinks but it happens. I know FIRST and SRE try their hardest to negotiate these things down, but many venues hold hard ground. It is sadly just part of the game.

And since the Center is very much for a profit place, $10 per kbyte is a good rate for them to charge. So sorry FIRST that you are a non profit, we are and we make good cash from internet usage. [soapbox] [disclamer == Foster on a rant, skip down] This is the next part of Network Neutrality, the ability to connect to the internet for a low price. I have a 4G Verizon device, it would stream one event per month, and I would hit my "unlimited cap". Some places *mariot cough cough* block my cell signal so I can't get out except at low data rate volume. It's not a happy place, people want to be on the interwebtubes and local providers use that as a $$$ method. The telcos / cable providers have given up some ground, but the last mile won't be given up without a fight. Because that's a lot of people that make TONS of cash on that connection. [/soapbox] Congrats to the teams at NYC. I know that our VEX events to talk to people from far away countries (looking at you Massachusetts) so China and the UK is huge!! Quote:

Re: 2015 New York City Regional
No, but it wasn't easy. I save everything.
Had to make room for the new junk. Last summer I threw out over 200 books. Nobody reads books anymore. |

Hm, I would expect if anything getting in trouble for any background copyright music. But nongaming caught us by surprise considering the FRC related things I've seen on twitch. We are going through the appeal process now. Last edited by RoboTigers1796 : 17-03-2015 at 23:00. |
