CaptainKirby is on a distinguished road
Re: 2015 Utah Regional

Up-A-Creek Robotics is psyched to be going to CMP for the first time. It might've taken us 11 years... but we finally did it!

We wanted to give a huge thank-you to 624 and 4334 for being amazing alliance partners. We really enjoyed working you both on and off the field.

We also want to give a big shout out to 2122, 3230, and 3405 for an exciting set of finals matches. You are all great teams with great students and mentors. Mark, you receiving the Woodie Flowers Finalist Award was well-deserved!

So, until we meet again...

Chute door.

Re: 2015 Utah Regional

The Naskcorpions had a blast in Utah!

First of all, major congratulations goes to 624, 1619, and 4334! You guys were an amazing alliance and deserved the win. The finalist alliance of 2122, 3230, and 3405 also put up a very good fight, so congratulations on that as well!

I also wanted to give a shoutout to our elimination alliance of 3374 and 4158. We unfortunately died in the first match, which was a huge bummer because that was the first time all weekend, and then we weren't able to rally back hard enough to advance. 4158 was great at getting up a lot of short quick stacks, and 3374 used their awesome arm to cap our stacks with the containers from the step.

We were the team grabbing 2 totes at a time from the landfill. We had some consistency issues the first day, but after adding some new alignment devices we never dropped a tote on Saturday. And I have to give a huge shoutout to our driver, he was able to get 14 totes from the landfill during our last elimination match, something I didn't think our team was capable of!

Even though we didn't make it out of the quarterfinals, this was the best year our team has ever had! I was so proud of how hard my team worked this year to build an identical practice robot, it definitely payed off big time. I can't wait to see how they do in the tears to come.

I also wanted to mention 4792, Desert Storm. While they had some programing issues early on, they worked really hard and we were able to get them up and running in no time. I loved their "seesaw" robot, and I wish you guys the best of luck in Vegas!

Utah was an amazing way to cap off my 4 years as a student in FRC. This was my favorite event that I have ever been too, and I know a big part was because of all of the great teams there. It was awesome to see just how competitive it was this year, and I'm glad I could interact with so many teams as the coach this year. Thanks to everyone for making it so great

Re: 2015 Utah Regional

AngelBotics had a great time! We enjoyed winning the Imagery award, and sharing our hippie ways with all of you.

It isn't overstating things to say that we love 1619 and 2996, thank you both for all your help and friendship over the past several years. You have both deeply impacted our team's growth.

The Colorado contingent of 1410, 662, 1332, 3200, 4550, and of course 1619 and 2996 have made quite a showing in Utah these last few years, and this year was especially strong. Thank you to 1410 for organizing the shared transportation of our robots and tools, and to 4550 and 3200 for sharing the load.

The organizing of Utah was excellent this year. Thank you to all who made it go so smoothly! What a great regional.

Re: 2015 Utah Regional

Raptacon had a great time participating in the Utah regional for the first time. Congratulations to team 624,1619, and 4334. We look forward to competing with many of you again at the Colorado regional. Does anyone have video of the Friday qualifiers?
