Re: 2015 High Score

2137, 1918, and 4967 scored 228 at West Michigan. Could have been 248 but 4967 missed their 3-tote auto that they have been hitting fairly regularly.

Steve Bezos just called and said he wants those 3 robots for Amazon's new mega mile wherehouse....They want to lay off an entire shift of people. That is amazing at 284 points.

Imagine how many bins an hour stacked 6 high that would be? LOL

Yes, I missed the prediction by a week...I said someone would be out of useable bullets (field pcs. by week 3), week 4 would be good, get crackin' 1114 and company! (Although 1114 is a Top Notch Company already in their own right....But, it never is bad to hire or at least invite good, or even better, excellent help along either!)

Is a Championship 300+ or 350+ match, out of the question. (A great combo fast canburgler, and tote flipper, and stacker is all they need to use them all up!) 1114 gobbles those totes in record time. I'd swear that bot was alive. (Who's brain did you implant?)

Just watched that 5 times over, that slide of the 2 rows down to steal the 2 Shelf RC's is sweet, now iterrate something that slides between shelf and the upsidedown totes and just flips the whole row upright so 1114 can gobble and stack those up too. Sweeeet stackin' boys & girls.

Hate the game all you want, it can be outright exciting at times. (How many of you will ever be asked in a future career to build a robot that plays frisbee or basketball...And how many will be asked to task a robot to work in a factory or wherehouse in the future...Or on MARS, and beyond!) A whole lot more of the latter than the former I hope...For $$$$'s then too. Instead of just fun.

I can see the Engineer mentors that already do that for $$$'s being disappointed though. But, we need to give the GDC a break, those particular machines in that vid are a wonder to behold and watch.

Homework for a student math wiz please (No Mentors please...Put away that engineering calculator...Yes, I saw you).

With the increase from 4 to eight Divisional Fields, and a Max. 400 bot field increased to a Max. 600 bot strong invite list to The FIRST FRC Championships.

What are the mathematical odds that under the old, and the new rules 1114/2056/2935 will or could possibly end up in the same Division this year under a completely blind draw? Looking forward to an answer by opening day of The Championships math wizzes.

Play together while you can I say. (It may be your very last chance).

Edit: missed the bit where it was aimed at students.

The math is simple probability.

I doubt that 350 can be achieved during eliminations, especially at CMPs during eliminations.
40 from coopertition is huge, especially when going for a high score. At CMPs, eliminations will feature many great alliances where going for step bins will negate some of the opportunities for alliances to get the RCs.

Would love to be proven wrong.
