Re: Best landfill bots
in the PNW, 1318 and 2471 I know are both pretty good, and my team gets better every time we play... I mean, 1114's adequate from the landfill too...

you can see the stacking ability and the intake working. This was the first time our drivers touched this robot so you can see that we were a bit too fast. We also hadn't figured out the right order to pull from the landfill. The tools are there. By Saturday morning we had things under control. |

Re: Best landfill bots
+1 for 1086. Top notch. At least three, many times four stacks of four per game from the landfill.

118 can make 3 stacks of 6 from the landfill.

Can anyone link videos of Blue Cheese in matches? I can't seem to find any videos for 2015 other than their awesome CAD video. |

Re: Best landfill bots
If you do find match videos, try to find the elimination matches of it. My brother (driver) was still getting used to the systems speed since our prototype robot was a bit slower than our final. He was really in the zone by elimination matches. One of the things we plan to improve for Chesapeake is to add a system to allow us to be stable with 6 totes at a decent speed. The only issue is our can manipulator isn't fast enough to do what we want, so we tend to rely on other team to cap and focus on stacking like a crazy. (+1 for 540 who did a fantastic job capping our alliances stack, we were so happy you were able to assemble the perfect alliance).

Re: Best landfill bots
118 would have had 3 capped stacks of 6 at Sacramento if we had completed our job in the final 2 matches at Sacramento. They have the 2nd best landfill bot out there after watching many webcasts. Our mentors raved about their elevator mechanism.

Re: Best landfill bots
I'd like to shout out to the omni directional internal stackers. The technical capabilities of these robots seem trivial to me when compared to how well these robots compliment any team they are on. A lot of these designs and robots mentioned seem game breaking.

Re: Best landfill bots
865 blew me away with their landfill prowess this weekend. Once they ironed out the bugs, they were one of the fastest landfill robots I've seen all year long; in person or on video.
