Re: 2015 Peachtree Regional
Webcast anyone?
The Mad Rockers are hoping to improve on our less-than-spectacular showing at Bayou last weekend. We made a bunch of changes Thursday and spent all day Friday and Saturday chasing problems from them. Some kind of voodoo going on too, PWM cable from one lift Pot came out in 3 matches (we're bringing the hot glue gun to fix that problem), bent hinges (in a game with no defense? we've switched to a .250 pin and bushing), and how do you get a tote stuck in the chute (still scratching our heads on that one)? Hoping for better mojo this weekend. |

Re: 2015 Peachtree Regional
A group of team 108 members are on their way to Atlanta right now. We are very excited to go back to the Peachtree regional again; this time around with two other Motorola Solutions teams from Florida.
Hopefully we have all the kinks worked out and we are hoping that we get that robot up and running by mid day Thursday. |

These are some pretty cute predictions here. But... The 2015 Peachtree Regional is shaping up to be the most exciting Georgia event since Championships was in town. Don’t believe us? Well, keeping reading. 1648, 2974, 1319, and 2415 have already competed in their respective events and are bringing some serious hardware (and banners) into the Peachtree Regional. Look for these teams to build on their first-event successes and create some mad stacks at Peachtree. If history has taught us anything, having a regional win doesn’t mean much at Peachtree. 1261, 1746, 1683, 832, and 4189 had amazing performance at their first events. Between finalists, engineering inspiration awards, and many achievements in between, each one of these teams has a reason to be playing on Saturday afternoon. But you know what? Even teams who are just hitting the field for the first time tend to make a big impact at Peachtree. 4509 and 1771 will both be hitting the field for the first time, and with the amount of talent on those teams, the question is not ‘if’ but ‘when’ these teams will hit their stride. And the craziest part? This isn’t even the tip of the iceberg. Don’t lose sight of 108, who lead ‘The Blue Alliance’ to victory last year at this very regional. Keep an eye on 4026, who was one good line of code away from a 3-tote auto. Keep a watch for 343 and their supposed 3-tote auto. With 66 teams at this massive regional and an event staff that ran a smooth regional in week 1, expect the Peachtree Regional to be nothing short of spectacular. - Rotten Peach Alliance ![]() |

It is sink or swim time for Team #1319 (FLASH). They won the Georgia Southern Classic regional with Team 1648 in week one. It must have been a wake up call for #1319 FLASH because their robot will be changing a lot. With all the changes this morning, can they do it? I believe with their experience, they can!!

Re: 2015 Peachtree Regional
It is definitely going to be an exciting event this year with 10 rookie teams, 22 out of state teams, and 1 international team! I am very much looking forward to it being my first competition as a mentor with such an amazing group of volunteers making P'tree the smooth and exciting competition it always is!

No wake up call needed here. We always upgrade in between events whether we win them or not, this one is really no different. Constant Improvement is what we as mentors working with our students strive for. I appreciate the vote of confidence in believing that we will make it work. Our 2nd practice match of 2 stacks of 5 with containers and a single 4 stack shows our potential. Last edited by Zflash : 26-03-2015 at 23:08. |
