Re: You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...

when all of the picture thats come up in your Timehop around this time are of robots, building, or competitions.
when you realize you have been on 5 different teams in varying positions and that you dragged your whole family into it.
when you post more for the teams facebook than for your own
when you tell everyone at work you cant go out because "I have robots"
when you buy a new camera for the sole purpose of taking pitures at competition because when you print phone pictures out for the chairmans binder they arent as good quality wise.
when you start to think of your car as roboto transportation instead of a way to get around.

Just to name a few.

...you spend all saturday watching to see if your team made it to regional champs instead of doing AP homework.

your mom tells you you can't go to practice matches in order to meet some high tech guy
you go to the supermarket and see orange juice priced at $1.48 and buy it immediately

When your youngest child has almost completed his first year of college, and both Mom & Dad are still very involved and fully willing to beat their bodies up by Educator mentoring, and volunteering at FIRST events in a game w/ what seems like 100's of (empty, but still fairly heavy if lifted repetitively), game pcs., both on & off the field, all at the same time. (And then both Mom & Dad text and call him within minutes of each other to update him on the way home while travelling separately...On what he's currently missing out on concerning his former team.

When you know more people at one of the regionals than you do at school
When you spend more time fixing your CD signature than your Facebook profile
When you get home from the regional and immediately check the "You know you've overdosed on FIRST when..." thread

^^^^ This!! (except just mom)

...and then when you get home, you are dead tired but still have to give your husband a long recap of the whole event, and are already thinking about next year as you fall asleep!

...and the highlight of your year is when your team makes the semis, for the first time ever, and you don't even have a kid on the team any more.

I got so overdosed at the Championship for the 2003 Stack Attack game, stacking totes for just ONE day, that I just about crawled under my chair when I saw the game pieces for Recycle Rush!

You can't find something in a grocery store and your first instinct is to ask pit admin for it

Re: You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...

You laugh out loud when you're buying robot parts at Lowes and the price comes to $11.14

At the airport when you see someone trying to push their cart through an unmoving crowd, you can't resist yelling "ROBOT!"

Everyone you talk to starts their conversations with two things, (a) "Hey, I haven't seen you in a while!" and (b) "How's your robot doing?"

When you're at dinner with your team after watching Einstein, you wonder what you should have for dessert, and the answer is "Cheesecake, of course!"

(all true)

When the thought of cheesecaking another 2015 robot makes you want to crawl back in bed and whimper.
