Re: Most Used Human Player Station
I would guess that most teams prefer the right station because of it's proximity to the nearest Scoring Platform.

Re: Most Used Human Player Station
I've seen a couple very good robots play out of the left one (probably because of driver station location)

Re: Most Used Human Player Station
There's also a little more room for the robot to maneuver on the left side(for robots with large turning radii).

It depends on where our driver station is.

Re: Most Used Human Player Station
If we are positioned in the center or left positions (1 or 2), team 1619 prefers the left side tote chute. It has more room for maneuvering, which ends up with a more relaxed feeling overall for the entire drive team since you don't feel cramped or boxed in by your own stacks. If we're in the right position, however, the right human player station is preferred since visibility for lining up on the left is impeded otherwise.
If we are in the center and a teammate in position one (the left side) also uses the tote chute, we take the right side chute to avoid the other team having alignment issues. This is what we did in the Colorado regional when we paired with 1730 for the playoffs, and what 624 did with us in Utah. |
