There are issues with venue, field, and volunteer availability that you should consider. An example, in Minnesota we'd need between 10 and 12 district events. Regarding your schedule:

So a team that plays a full district schedule and advances would play on something like this schedule:

or (worse)

Week 7
Week 9

With weeks 5/6, 7, and 9 including travel. Will be a burden for some teams.
