OK so I forgot the pants....
 along those lines and considering safety, girls especially need to not wear sandals or other open toed shoes to competition. It would really really be bad to drop a robot on your foot if you had sandals on... so please ladies, save those for the beach and wear sneakers or something like that... additionally, long pants... you have no idea how many times i've slipped a drill bit and hit my legs... only to be saved from a nice gash by a pair of jeans.... other safety related clothing considerations.... short sleeves, so as not to be caught up in moving parts... glasses ( the impact proof kind... ) Smith and Wesson makes some very stylish safety glasses...  just my $0.02
