Super Useful App: FRC Toolbox

Field Draw Pad, Score Calculator, Match Timer, Pit & Match Scouting, and Documents are only a few of the features available in the new release of our iPhone & iPad app FRC Toolbox.

The app became very popular at the Lone Star Regional (specially the Field Draw Pad among drivers), and we would LOVE for you guys to check it out. We are continuously updating it along the FLL and FTC versions, and would really appreciate feedback and suggestions on the various tools we provide.

Not in time for champs . We'll probably work on it after St. Louis, so maybe in time for Off Season events, but definitely in time for kickoff 2016!

The app looks beautiful. I wish I knew about it a month ago. I only have two suggestions, for the match timer, make an option to go straight from autonomous to teleop. My second suggestion is to create a way to share information. I was our drive coach, and before/after each match I would have to run back and forth to the stands to get scouting information. It would be much easier for the information to be transferred to my phone from the scouters. This looks like an amazing and useful tool. Great job!

I second this, especially able to share the information if you were able to make accounts so you only share with your team
Also, does it pull data from TBA like matches and scores or do you have to put them in manually. If it could pull match scores and rankings and such to put in the scouting data automatically would be great if it dose not already do this.

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys. We also find this features vital for future events, in fact most of them are part of our planned off-season/2016 season updates!

I fell in love with this app when I got it. The only thing that limits it from being used on our team is the fact that you can't share the data with other team members. As part of a drive team, something else really useful would be to be able to zoom in pin the draw pad. My iPhone is too small to have the whole field and I think that the app would be ten times more useful if you could zoom in to parts of the field.
Great job with the app design and implementation btw.

That is what we love to hear! Once again sorry about the lack of sync in the scouting sections, we are working very hard to provide syncable-smart-scouting in the near future. As for the field draw pad, there is a solution on the way (waiting to be aproved by Apple, no way of knowing if it will be before Champs) where you can choose between a full field, or just half a field, which consequently makes it easier to draw on smaller screens. We will test the zoom you suggest for future versions, and depending on the results you might see it in an update.
