I wasn't down on the field at all but from what I could tell the mats were probably about 1' back from the field and maybe 1' to the side of the entrance. The boxes were placed at the edge of the little ramp to get onto the field.

The mat is probably 1ftX1ft. as for hom far away from the side of the field, I cant say I paid too much attention to that. I believe the mat was around a foot or so away from the gate, as said.

According to Team Update #3, the mat is 18" back and 18" to the side of the gate (which, by the pythagorian theorem, is 25.5" away).

According to the link given in the Jive Forum, the mat is 24" by 18".

Hope this helps!
