Proof of the pudding....
Or in this case other edibles. This was the menue at the UTC Regional. I know in some countries hands would be chopped off for these prices.
I bet there wasnt 3 ounces of fries in those packages and they charged $3.50 fo 5c worth of spuds. May be because they there from France (French Fries). 3 cookies $2.25 ![]() But $4.25 is just plain rude for a Hamburger and it was small enough to eat through one nostral. I could have spent $30 for food (so called) and still been hungry but the ckincher was $2.75 for a small bottle of H20. I brought my own. |

Luckily. there was a McDonalds/Burger kind about a 5-10 minute walk away. Even some people who came up to watch matches that weren't from the local area thought that it was "Its highway robbery, I could drive to the interstate, pull off and buy a cheaper drink."

In Sacramento there was a Subway nearby. It took 10 minutes to get there but that's because the traffic was terrible...

I wonder what prices were under the taped on costs... yeah once again, when there are hungry people, cost goes up a lot.

thats really sad becasue i mean you expect to pay that much if you go to a football game and stuff but when you are at something like this you should have to worry about the prices we are all here to compete in a event and they are killing us in prices and i think its a bunch of crap that we are not allowed to bring food casue i mean i am alergic to wheat and basically everythingo nth that menu i cnat have so they should def like not have the rule

Every year I've brought my own stuff in a backpack. If I feel I may get caught, I put stuff on top of it. If I buy food at competition I have to pay for it, and there is no way I'm going to pay that much for food. I find it much more worthwhile to bring my own.
I understand why the rules are in place, mainly because people are stupid and can't clean up after themselves. I put all my garbage either back in my bag or throw it out when I'm done. I don't see any other reason on why I shouldn't be able to have my own stuff. |

To be honest, I just ate a big breakfast at the hotel in the morning, and then just waited until I came back at night to eat.
I know FIRST can't control the arenas' prices or rules, but I wish some of these arenas would give us a break! |

doesn't this kinda defeat the purpose of capitalism? The whole "we own this market" deal. just a thought.
also, we will get absolutely nowhere by just talking about how bad it is. Most big businesses have no conscience when it comes to things like this. If we want something done then we must boycott the stands or something. p.s. i don't want to sound offensive, I'm just voicing my opinion. |
