Re: can grabbers fastest?
Out of curiosity, why CIMS? There are motors with higher RPM out there and you don't really need the torque...
EDIT: Did some research and remembered that you guys make your own gearboxes (I think) so that makes more sense now Last edited by Jaywalker1711 : 20-04-2015 at 13:19. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5YpXlQ5ia8 (top left in video) 329 was comfortably under 400ms in week 4 and have made some tweaks to that speed

Re: can grabbers fastest?
Not sure if this would be feasible, but in 2011 a team set up a minibot speed test. You would bring your minibot to their pit and activate in on high speed footage. They had a ranked list of teams with the fastest minibots shown. This year I would be pretty cool if one team somehow watched the practice fields and listed off times.

I'll be recording as many teams as I can though so I may be able to post some times after CMP. |

Re: can grabbers fastest?
Here are two from 3824
One is 3D printed with a stand-alone pneumatic system for an alliance partner https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=l5J21aIJA-I https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YynT5unWQAU The other is very light, 0.04 lbs. Carbon fiber wire. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4AUfgudxsFo The printed one took 30 minutes to print both arms and the base. We've got both glass fiber (more pliable) and carbon fiber (stiff) |
