Go to Post YES! I am a MENTOR. Not a chaperone. I am busy all day, I don't want to deal with the stupidity that may or may not go on at night. Besides, I might see something as a cool physics experiment, where a chaperone might see someone dropping pop cans down the stair wells. - Not2B [more]

Videos from the CMP

Here are some videos that I took this weekend.

QF 4 on Carson where two stacks collapsed
Tough luck for the Poofs, who couldn't manage autonomous and showed the effects of the center of gravity.

Match 115 on Curie from the Catwalk
Featuring Simbotics and Miscar.

I haven't had a chance to edit or label them, especially the catwalk videos.
Since the API was MIA, I wasn't always able to figure out which teams I was watching so if anyone can help me identify them, I would appreciate it. (Simbotics was easy)

I have other recent videos of Quarter Final Matches and Catwalk views.
Just peruse the channel.

The video shows the Poofs were blocked by 973 from completing their Autonomous routine.
Then again at the last second, 973 hurried to back away from their last stack, but in doing so, hit the stack causing to tip. Not only did they loose that stack and the one next to it, but the RC flew off the field gaining them a penalty.

Re: Videos from the CMP

If you look again starting at 4:43, 973 rolled over a piece of litter which then got caught under the stack and caused the imbalance as 973 was putting it down on the platform.

Nevertheless, it was amazing to be part of the same division as these awesome robots!

Re: Videos from the CMP

That is certainly a tough way to end the season. But all 3 were great robots and they had it in them to make a run at Einstein. A pretty bad time for some unfortunate errors.

Re: Videos from the CMP

Agreed. Very sad. But with all the pressure on the Poofs and their alliance, a mistake was bound to happen.

After reviewing the video, I can see exactly what you are saying. I missed it the first time I saw the video. You are correct, it was the noodle that tipped the stack.
