Bandwidth of SOAP website
First of all I'd like to start by thanking the SOAP team for hosting all this wonderful regionals footage, but I have to ask,
How much Bandwidth does your website go through during peak months, (i.e) right now? It must be enourmous to support this volume of video downloads. |

If it's too much, one solution might be something called BitTorrent (http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/). It's a kind of filesharing solution where the download comes from everyone who has that file currently online. However, unlike things like Kazaa, BitTorrent is completely transparent, a short download, no spyware, and just shares other .torrent files... I dunno, just a suggestion. Kudos to Soap for their great archives.

Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be peanuts compared to when we stream Moto-Midwest and ... Nationals. KA-Moto108 ![]() |
