A mecanum robot that can move cars (from the BBC)
Ran across this BBC video about a robot that looks like a cross between a 2007 robot mixed with minibots. The "minibots" have mecanum wheels and can move cars within a parking garage style environment.

This makes me wonder what other real world applications there are for mecanum wheels and omni wheels for that matter?
