Following a dozen of my team's alumnae out to MIT, studying some combination of Mechanical Engineering, Math, and Econ, in decreasing order of likelihood to major in.

Re: Follow up: Class of 2015, Where Are You Going?

I will be joining the Yale College Class of 2019, studying computer science, possibly double majoring in electrical engineering.

Yale recently announced a major expansion in their CS department, and I'm very excited to witness this transformation. Article here.

Maybe you can help change that! However, I do know Wildstang is just North of downtown Chicago (up in Schaumburg), and I'm sure many other teams exist in the Chicago area that you can get involved with!

Not true!

We are from Chicago. PM if you want to learn a little more.

Also Schaumburg is not exactly close to close to Chicago. It is about 30 miles away.

I'll be going to Michigan Tech as well! My fellow driver and I will both be going there in pursuit of a masters in CS. We should all hang out.

Haha that's definitely one of my goals! UChicago doesn't have an engineering department but I'm sure I'll find students interested in the program - I know many colleges sponsor and mentor teams so I'm looking at that as a possibility.

By "FIRST presence" I meant for the University specifically - not Chicago It's not a college like WPI or Georgia Tech with a lot of FIRST alum (I actually don't know any FIRST alums who go there or will go there), and it's not a popular choice for FIRSTers since it's more liberal arts based and has no engineering program. I don't plan on mentoring my first year but I'll definitely be volunteering when I get the chance! PM'ed anyways
