At one of our events this year, a Safety advisor (talking on his phone) walked beind our truck and robot trailer which was backing up. Thankfully our driver saw him...

I'm Working on a Facebook page for it and getting people to join. I feel it will be a good idea to have one just because when i first joined as safety captain my team just had someone that talked about the robot and left the rest alone. I admit it was really hard until the end of the year when i finally met a captain that was willing to help me. since i got help and changed our team around in the safety department. i was voted for safety star of the day. It would have been avoided if we had a forum or a page, i just don't want that to happen to other new captains in the future. if you all wanted to know the page i'm working on. search Safety Captains United on Facebook.

a freshman on the safety crew told me to put on my gloves while I was in the pit... Try to program or solder some wires using gloves
