I saw the Visoneers robot fall over onto a box in front of fellow Rochesterians Grrr Robotics who tipped them back upright (by mistake no doubt since they were opposing them).
835 got knocked over once and I think 85 BOB pushed them back upright. It helps to haave good capable partners to help you out when you get into trouble.

Maybe they were just being extremely good sports. Nobody would fault Grrr for doing nothing or even making it harder for the Visioeers to get back up. It is entirely within the rules to do so.

But helping your opponent get back into the game is a very generous and sportsman-like thing to do. (assuming it was deliberate).

We Rochester teams like to stick together.

Plus Grrr are a bunch of good guys as well.

I think my team might beat everyone! If this is something to be proud of. . . Lol.
We are modular, and both of our robots tipped. Not only that, but the BAHA BASHER Mod tipped a few, although others drove up and flipped themselves, NOT OUR FAULT!!

We went over twice. First time was in practise, we were headed up the ramp in auto when 16 came flying down, I mean, flying and over we went. the GI team later came and shoved us around by means of our wings. Anyway, they destroyed our poor left wing. I think they were going for our stacks, but we had to redo the wing.

The second time a qual match, a teammate was driving and tried to climb ontop of 45 after they went all king of the hill on us . . we were about halway up when we went over. The left wing had to be completely redone once more. By the end of the regional, it was held on by zipties and little bits of wood.

We only flipped one team, and that was their fault. We were preventing them from coming up the ramp, and their back wheels just kept goin as their front went up (i don't remember #).

Later their partner rammed them, shattering their light cover. At least we didn't do the damage, only the flipping.

OK, my favorite flip was at the VCU regionals.

1051's auton mode wasn't quite calibrated - I watched it swing a wide arc toward the ramp - too wide, so it hit the ramp with it's front right tire and flipped over all by itself. What was great is it repeated the move identically in the next match.

Good thing they got that figured out. Also, 1051, I really like the look of the bot and your wicked, toothed arm. I wanted to see you use that on some bins.

This is so funny because what the thread started about was if you fell over at the start like Beatty did last year. Not if you tipped cause all bots can tip/ be tipped. IF you where are New England you should know what I am talking about.

Mehh team 564 makes flipping over stylish. We were doing it way before any of your little robots knew what topheavy was. Not only that but we won the one match last year when we did and almost won a second one. It was so funny we fell into our scoring zone and the other team did not even know.

We flipped 651 on the ramp, YO-BOT the infamous box thrower and crowd pleaser. But they actually got back up. they used their arm to self right as well.
