Assistant Robotics Coach for FRC 2468 Team Appreciate in Austin, Texas

As the current team lead of FRC 2468 Team Appreciate, we are looking for an assistant robotics coach for the 2015-2016 school year. The position is teaching at Westlake High School in Eanes Independent School District. Westlake High School is located in Austin, Texas.

We currently have two teaching positions open at WHS - High School Math and AP Macro Economics.

• FRC 2468 Team Appreciate mentor
• Coaching stipend in line with athletic coaches within our school district (close to assistant football coaches in Texas)
• Willingness to pursue career in FRC coaching as an assistant coach
• Future chance for leadership of the program
• 6 FTC program teams but these fall under the leadership of other mentors currently

The position comes with a coaching stipend, full insurance and above state base salary.

Borrowers of certain U.S. Department of Education loans may qualify for deferment or cancellation of all or part of their loans for teaching service in a designated teacher shortage area, depending on the type of loans and when the loans were made. Current shortage areas in Texas are Mathematics, Special Education, Bilingual/ESL, Science, Foreign Language (languages other than English) and Technology Applications.
