Capital City Classic 2015 Workshops

Team 1678 Citrus Circuits is hosting our second annual Fall Workshops series! This year, they will occur alongside the off-season competition Capital City Classic to be held at Davis Senior High School from October 23-25th.(see registration info here: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=137517)

The Fall Workshops will be held during the evening and lunch breaks on Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th.

In addition, we plan to record the talks and make them available on YouTube. Again, we will be running some workshops simultaneously, so those who can attend in person on both days will be able chose three total workshops to attend over the course of the event. To cover as much material as possible we recommend you send different team members to multiple different workshops so that you don't miss out on any. Our current and tentative schedule is as follows:

Friday Evening:
  • Scouting
  • Chairman’s and Awards
  • Intro to Electronics
  • Mechanical Design
  • Robot Programming

Saturday Lunch:
  • Team Management
  • Public Relations
  • Scouting Programming
  • RoboRio from Austin Schuh (tentative)

Saturday Evening:
  • Strategy and Game Analysis
  • Machining and Prototyping
  • Fundraising
  • Basic Sensors
  • Advanced Control Techniques (tentative)

More information about the workshops including a final schedule, times, and details on the location will be made available early in the fall, so please be on the lookout for that.

Lastly, we have created a survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1s75...aKKDY/viewform

to evaluate everyone's interests and preferences concerning workshop content. The presenters will use your information and suggestions to build the specific content they will cover. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have concerning the workshops through the form or by PM.

Thank you and hope to see you there!
