Re: Making a FRC team in Japan

Hey Hikari, I am from Japan too!

I feel like starting a team in Japan would be somewhat difficult but definitely do-able! I am still fluent in Japanese (although tech-jargon may be difficult for me).
I would love to help, especially in the form of teaching the Japanese students (I can do translations and also teach CAD over emails/video call).

If you are going to make a team in Japan, please private message me!!

Re: Making a FRC team in Japan

It was great meeting you at the Hawaii Regional Hikari! After emailing/skyping throughout the pre/build seasons, it was great to see the robot in action (and play together in a match!) Best of luck going forward, I can't wait to see what's in store for FRC in Japan.

Re: Making a FRC team in Japan

We may have an opportunity to start up an (several) FRC team(s) in Japan through a sponsor in the future. Where is this team housed? Is the primary host and/or sponsor a corporation or a school? What were the most significant hurdles? What were the most attractive attributes to mentors? To students?
