[FTC]: Kit of Parts from pitsco

Any idea when everything is going to be shipped. The message of early July has left the screen. Team 130 Blazing Spririts are ready to take a look at the parts.

Teams are starting to receive their kits. We have yet to see the two of ours. We are in the same boat, we would love to get to know the new system.

I emailed PITSCO yesterday about our FTC kit. The representative told me that the back-ordered FTC kits should be shipping the first week of August, and that when they are shipped an email will go out with your tracking info.

I got this email today;

Dear FTC Team:

We are so happy you registered for FTC this year! We have a very exciting season coming up with brand new technology and our best game yet. We’re currently registering teams at a rate 58% ahead of where we were at this time last year, which is awesome! The increased demand has created a backlog of orders and our vendors are continuing to fill the supply pipeline. Team orders are being shipped in the order they were received and you will receive an email when your order has shipped. At the present fulfillment rates, all teams who have complete orders for Full Kits should have their kits the week of August 31th or sooner. All teams who have complete orders for Base Kits should have their kits the week of August 17th or sooner. If you have any questions concerning your FTC order please feel free to contact ftcteams@usfirst.org. We will do our very best to assist you. They apparently were going to ship ours this week, but the person who paid it (school) had a credit card declined because it expired between the time they placed the order a few months ago and the time the card was charged. They called and updated it, but I guess we are now at the back of the queue...

The FLL kits being backordered as well means a messy start to the school year.

Sorry, "backordered" may have been the wrong word. This thread on the FLL forum is the source.

That being said, I ordered ours at midnight last night and it apparently shipped today (I have a tracking #, though it currently doesn't track on UPS) and should arrive tomorrow if they are still shipping from Kansas. So I stand corrected.

Need a point of clarification - Are you referring to LEGO or FTC?

I ordered a FTC kit two days ago and it has yet to ship.

Since this is an FTC thread, I didn't want any FTC teams who are "biting their nails" anxiously awaiting their KOP delivery, to misunderstand that the BSV posts regarding ordering/delivery are about LEGO not FTC.

Yes, very sorry about muddying the conversation!

I have not been home, yet, but according to our FLL team twitter account the FLL KoP arrived today.

One of our other mentors was at an education conference this week with one of the people higher up the chain at Pitsco, and she was told that they expected the next shipment to arrive from Modern Robotics by Aug. 7 and would begin shipping FTC kits at that point.

Take that secondhand information for what it is worth. At any rate, I wouldn't expect them to arrive this week.

Finally got our kit of parts. I had another problem with team summary and talked to FIRST they told me beginning of August makes it close.
