Team 971's 2015 Robot CAD and Technical Resources

FRC team 971, Spartan Robotics, is proud to release the technical documentation for our 2015 robot.

The CAD, technical documentation, and controls documentation for the 2015 robot can be found on our website. We also have a team photo album that documents our progress throughout the season, including close-ups of the robot, our work with carbon fiber, and the team at competition. More information on our team's season can be found here.

Feel free to respond with questions about the robot or our team.

Awesome resources. 971 is building some of the most technically sophisticated robots in FRC today, and it's great to be able to see all the tiny details and the process that makes these things tick. I'm going to spend a long, long time digging through this.

How weird, I was just looking at this CAD...
Are you doing any on the fly zeroing, like with your claw last year?

Yes, using an encoder with an index pulse, a potentiometer, and DMA. This even allows us to do sensor failure detection to avoid breaking mechanisms, and very intelligent zeroing.
