Segway offspring!
Ran across this today and thought I would share it with CD. A regular Segway 'Mini Me" from Japan...

China has a lot of similar type transporters for 1/2 the price also. Hopefully our team can bring back something like it or later when we attend the Japan Robotics Conference in November. http://www.nikkan.co.jp/eve/irex/ |

Re: Segway offspring!
I love it when someone takes approximate numbers with metric units (10 kph, 12 km) and converts them to imperial units with decimals.
That's how we got 98.6 degrees as body temp. It was a conversion from 37 C. |

Re: Segway offspring!
I like things with one wheel instead of two, so this is my go-to segway type of transportation module.
There aren't a lot of places in the US that are dense enough to make even cycling an efficient mode of transport, so I'm skeptical that these rolling platforms will ever catch on here. They'd be a load of fun to use in a large office building though. |
