[FTC]: OnShape CAD files for FTC 2015/2016

I've imported the AndyMark CAD files for the new FTC Field into OnShape. There was an issue with one of the zip lines that I fixed and made changes to allow correct coloring of the red and blue zones. I haven't found a way to make the same parts different colors in the assemblies, so made duplicates with red/blue names. The files are here: FTC 2015/2016 Field

Great work! That will be usefull.
I have noticed that the colors of the Scoring Goals are incorrect.
They should be blue-red-blue on the red side and red-blue-red on the blue side. (Not all the same color)

How are you finding OnShape for FIRST purposes? I'm much more familiar with Solidworks and Inventor, but installing these on school computers is a *giant hassle*. The ability to run to program and store files on the cloud makes me think OnShape might be a good option for us, if the capabilities aren't too limiting.

I found it pretty good for most usage cases.

It requires a good internet connection, so if your school has lousy internet speeds then it might not be a good choice.

For parts or smallish assemblies, it worked well for me even with various constraints, etc.

I found that it bogged down when I had a complex assembly. For full FTC robots with tons of parts it got a little laggy with our internet speeds. I was using a lot of Actobotics channels which have a TON of holes, and I think the number of things to render started to get overwhelming.

I agree with wgardner's comments, OnShape can be slow with poor internet service or large models. Hopefully as the beta improves, speed will increase.

I like it even with these issues. I have been able to do the important design tasks with OnShape that I can do with SolidWorks. Most importantly, the kids are using OnShape. Taking away the IT hassles, no file manipulations and the collaboration functionality makes OnShape a good fit for our team.
