Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015

That was beautifully done. I had a fantastic time at the event, and the final matches were perfect. There were just the right number of cans on the field in the end!
Congratulations to 3476, 971, and 968 for winning! 968's stack was the clincher, amazingly, to put them alliance over 254/973/604.

Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015

chezy champs continues to take first place in my heart on logistics. I didn't get to be there this year, but over the stream you could tell the organizers were just as calm and...well... organized as last year.

Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015

After Chezy Champs last year, we were talking about it at a leaders meeting shortly after, and I said something like "it's exactly what I would expect if 254 was running an event." That's still true, and thank you to 254 for another amazingly well organized/run event, including everything from the modified game to the amazing video/audio quality (that was so good that a couple of us watched our matches from the TV in the hallway instead of going into the gym).

Congratulations to the winning alliance, 3476 + 971 + 968, and to the finalist alliance, 254 + 973 + 604. Those were some very, very intense matches, and probably the closest head-to-head matches that I've seen in person this year.

Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015

Huge congrats to 3476, 971 and 968 on the win. Special kudos to the kids on 971 for designing, building, and executing such an awesome machine over the summer. Your hard work paid off!

Once again, 1678 had a blast at Chezy Champs! 254 puts on the most fantastic event. Great atmosphere, friendly volunteers, bullet proof FMS, team-centered culture, quality audio/video production. Like we saw last year, 254 is raising the bar and showing everyone in California what is possible with a little money and a lot of hard work!

We're still trying to decide if we'll go to Chezy Champs North or Chezy Champs South in 2016, if we get a choice at all...

We had to tear down the A/V computer before it could upload the playoff matches. One of our students is working on completing the uploads.

Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015

We had a wonderful time at Chezy Champs! As always, the atmosphere was relaxed, but the action on the field was intense.

Thanks to 254 and company for running the event. The rule changes came pretty darn close to fixing recycle rush. We are grateful to them for the opportunity to compete this weekend. Shout out to the swamp coolers and the volunteers who moved them around throughout the weekend. You da real MVPs.

Thanks to our alliance partners, 1678 and 1671. It was nice to finally see the 3 of us on the field, with 118 being there through our cangrabbers. It's always fun to play with these two. It's too bad Murphy's law struck us in the semifinals.

Congrats to 3476, 971, and 968 on the win! 3476 has been on fire all weekend, getting better and better each match. We were certainly excited to see them pull off a W. 971's rebuild was a beautiful, effective machine that was definitely one of our favorite robots this weekend. To 968 - your robots have been an inspiration to me since I was a student. It's always really cool to see RAWC do well.

I'm sure I've missed a lot of people and teams.

See you at Battle at the Border!

Kudos to the Team 256 and all the volunteers for pulling off another outstanding competition, and thank to Bellarmine for their support for for picking up the power bill. The rule changes sure helped change the character of the competition in a good way.

And wow, what an amazing final match.

Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015

Team 1836: The Milkenknights had a lot of fun at Chezy Champs and would like to thank team 254 for hosting a phenomenal offseason event.

Congratulations to teams 3476, 971, and 968 for winning it all against a tough finalist alliance in 254, 973, and 604.

Starting my fourth year on the team off as an alliance captain and personally representing our team at alliance selection was a new and very interesting learning experience for me, and my team really enjoyed working with team 696 again (they picked us at ventura) and 3859 for the first time on our elims alliance.

We would also like to thank teams 3309 and 1678 for helping us fix our elevator before our first elims match and teams 254, 696, 3859, and 1983 for helping us fix our intake before our second elims match.

Thanks to 254 for a fantastic off-season event and huge congrats to the winning alliance!

For me, that final match was more interesting than watching 2015 Einstein finals!

Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015

Another awesome Chezy Champs.

It is the most pleasant, relaxed, professional and well run event we've ever competed at.

Congrats to our buddies on 3476, 971 and 968. Awesome to see these teams perform so well. Also great to see a team I've been a long time fan of (968) win the event for the alliance.

Thanks to our partners 254 and 604. Always good to play with the poofs, and we're very sorry to 604 that this game is so awful that them sitting was the best strategy.

Looking forward to a great event next year!
