Enjoyed watching the videos. Nice camera work on the split screen for autonomous and full field view for the rest of the match. Ryan, you've got a great program going over there. Congrats on the #1 pick in the tournament and for giving people on the St. Louis side of the state a place to play.

What caused 2481 to flip in match 20? They were never the same after that.

1658 looked in top form during final #2. Tough break tipping over the first stack in F#1, and loosing COMS in F#3. I can't wait to see what this team builds next year.

3937 has impressed me for years. Nice to see them team up with 1208 and the rookies for the victory.

Thanks for the kind words! The webcast audio is less than desirable. We had the volume mixed to the gymnasium and just took whatever that audio box gave us which was apparently way too loud. Next year we'll figure out a better solution so the viewers at home aren't getting distorted audio. Really happy with how the video came out, thanks to all of the people on here who posted their low cost webcast solutions.

4329 had a good run. Thanks to 3284 as always - love playing with our Camdenton friends. And to 2481 for picking our B team, tough break on your tote lifter being broken! Proud of all the students and mentors, I did absolutely nothing with the team the entire day

Thank you for coming! We love having Illinois teams come down for the day.

Fielding two robots was a little different, but fun. In Q15, our two robots attempted an autonomous recycle bin "cheers" across the step. We didn't practice it, and the robots didn't drive far enough to actually touch the bins together.

Q17 has both bots on the same alliance doing a synchronized auto.
Thanks for coming MARS / WARS! It was great to see your robot in person finally. That lift with the 3 separate tote grabbers is crazy awesome.

Re: 2015 Gateway Robotics Challenge

I want to say thank you to Ryan for all the hard work at this year's event. It is one of the best coordinated off season events we have attended. The attention to detail is incredible. From the awards to the webcast, this was a teir one event. Thanks for giving us a place to train new members and drivers.

Thanks also to teams 1208 and 5836 for being incredible alliance partners. Could not have won without you. Teams 1658, 4143, 2408 were scary throughout the entire elims. You guys put together an incredible 200 in F2! I remember looking across the field and saying, "On to match 3!" There was no question you smashed us in that match.

Thanks again to everyone who welcomed us to St. Louis. Hopefully we wilI have the honor of returning in April!

Re: 2015 Gateway Robotics Challenge

Ryan: Thanks to all your volunteers who worked hard to make Gateway such a well-executed event. It is a fantastic opportunity to get new students, mentors and drive coach geared up for the season, and allowed us to have two new sets of robot drivers and operators get some behind the glass time in a relaxed but competitive environment.

Aaron: Ms. Stackman landed on her back due to a tote that got lodged vertically. When the stacker was cycled to dislodge it, it resulted in the back flip. We were able to somewhat repair the arm, but even with the valiant attempts by the Lutheran Roboteers and MARS/WARS to comb through their spare parts stash, we were not able to match a replacement motor/ transmission combination to fix the stacker in time for playoffs.

When it came time for the playoffs, we created a new strategy with our great B teams (MARS/WARS B and Lutheran Roboteers B) to noodle RCs and cap their stacks, a role that we had not done in any of our previous competitions.

It was really fun to interact with all the teams that came. Congratulations to the Finalist and Winning Alliances!

Re: 2015 Gateway Robotics Challenge

Thanks for putting on a great event! Team 4931 really enjoyed the whole day. And thanks for giving us an opportunity to preview the Strongback open source Java library for FRC robots, which is now available for all FRC teams to use.
