Tetrix motor bench test device

Anyone successfully powered a tetrix motor without the controller setup ?

I just want to setup a bench prototype station where we could turn the motor with a single switch to do some design testing on bal pickersmor other ideas...

Any ideas, pictures and input would be appreciated.

You can plug motors directly into the battery to get them to run. Swap the leads and they run the other way. Put a switch inline if you want to quickly turn it on and off.

I've also used this supply for occasional benchtop tests where I wanted to compare motors at pseudo-identical power.

I tested Tetrix motors a few years ago when FRC was using them in mini-bots.

Not sure if those results are still useful now, because the motor might have changed.

I believe in intuition and inspiration. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. It is, strictly speaking, a real factor in scientific research.

Yes, there's a V2 of the Tetrix motor out now that is stronger in bench tests. Many FTC folks are using AndyMark Neverest motors as they don't smoke as quickly during a stall as the Tetrix ones do, and they come with encoders built in.

We set up a rig by using old kill switch with Power Pole connectors.

wgardner- haven't forgotten Tetrix and AM motor testing. Working on a rig to test with bots from wheel. Could use to troubleshoot drive issues.
