Re: Ramp Riot 2015: The Official Thread
Hello Ramp Riot Teams & Volunteers:
Ramp Riot is a little under two weeks away! Are your teams ready and pumped? Miss Daisy can't wait to host all of you on November 14th. Some important things to note: Team Check-in Please be sure to check in your team as soon as you arrive. You must have your robot and team present in order to check-in fully. The table is located at the bottom of the loading ramp that leads to the floor of the gym. Canned Food Drive Don't forget about our canned food drive, which benefits a local food cupboard right here in our hometown of Ambler. Anything you can contribute will be appreciated by our community. Apple Watch This year we are raffling off an Apple Watch as one of our raffle items. This is sure to be a hot item! See our raffle table in the gym lobby for more details. Seminars We have a great batch of extra seminar/talks that you can attend this year. Team 2607 will be presenting "What's New in the 2016 Control System?". MAR will host an open forum over the lunch break. Our team's own Alan Ostrow will be holding a seminar on the Chairman's Award. If you're interested in attending this seminar, please fill out this survey so that we can see what some of the common questions are. Please forward this to your students as well. Event T-shirts Brand new Ramp Riot t-shirts will be on hand for purchase. Please check them out in the gym lobby. Webcast As usual, Team 341 is working hard on an HD webcast for this year. When its ready, it will be accessible at webcast.team341.com. FTC An FTC scrimmage will be held in our downstairs cafeteria the whole day. Please make sure to get down there and say "hi" to all the teams. Our Sponsors Special recognition goes out to DOW Chemical, Comcast, The Boeing Company, BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, Cobham Defense Electronics, Janssen Biotech Inc., Johnson & Johnson, Society of Women Engineers, DiD Agency, Denney Electric Supply, and Mid-Atlantic Robotics. Without them, none of this would be possible. |

Re: Ramp Riot 2015: The Official Thread
Just wondering if there are any rule changes we should know about.
Speaking for Team 423, we can't wait to see everyone again at yet another amazing Ramp Riot! |

Re: Ramp Riot 2015: The Official Thread
I got the info packet and noticed on page 13 under Alliance Selection it says, "However, the top seeds may not choose among the top eight in 2014". Was this supposed to say 2015 and outlaw picking within the top 8? Or is there another meaning to this rule? Please clarify.

Re: Ramp Riot 2015: The Official Thread
Yup! That was an error. It should have said 2015 instead of 2014. Thanks for the question!

Re: Ramp Riot 2015: The Official Thread
Hello Ramp Riot Teams & Volunteers:
I wanted to share with you a couple announcements and reminders: MAR Field Components Available Since Ramp Riot is the final event of the region, MAR will be breaking down the field and making various parts of it available to teams. In order to better organize this process, we're asking that you fill out the following form to lay claim to any available items: http://goo.gl/forms/aOHUNa97nO Please Note: game piece totes are not available to be claimed. These totes will be used by MAR for their storage function. At the end of the event, please do not attempt to retrieve totes from the field. Team Change Our roster of teams has changed slightly. Team 11 will now be bringing their beta team, Team 193, MORT Beta, instead. Canned Food Drive If you're interested in the specific needs of our local community cupboard, check out their website and wishlist here: http://community-cupboard.org/wish-list/ Chairman's Survey We're still looking for feedback on what teams may be looking for when it comes to our Chairman's seminar. Please complete the survey below and forward along to your teams: http://goo.gl/forms/ypl2g0ZKlP |

Re: Ramp Riot 2015: The Official Thread
Is there any reason why the Ramp Riot 2015 Livestream (linked to by webcast.team341.com) is set to private? I was really hoping to see what I missed of the day

EDIT: There was a small labeling issue for our videos of Qual. Matches 8 through 14, but it should be fixed now. Last edited by Hallry : 15-11-2015 at 23:46. |

Re: Ramp Riot 2015: The Official Thread
This past weekend, Team 341 hosted its 16th annual off-season robotics competition, Ramp Riot. The day was an exceptional success. We hosted 52 teams from 4 different states and collected 1,273 cans of food for donation to a local food cupboard. The day would not have been as amazing as it was without the hard work and dedication of all of our students, parents, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and partner organizations!
Check out our team's interview that was broadcast on BEN FM about the event: http://957benfm.com/episodes/ben-aro...ly-episode-37/. Special thanks to Kristen Herrmann for featuring us. There are some amazing videos our students worked on that you might also want to check out: Recorded Webcast (over 700 views!): http://webcast.team341.com Intro Video: https://youtu.be/4_KXwlGI4Ao Day-of Video Recap: https://youtu.be/caLABj2JOkM Below are just some of the incredible results and a list of sponsors, organizations, and individuals to which we are grateful. Re: Ramp Riot 2015: The Official Thread
225 had another great day at Ramp Riot! We are always excited to have a great competitive close to the season there each year with so many local friends. Thank to 341 for hosting a great event! The production value and team experience is always fantastic.
Thanks to our alliance partners 1676, 423, and 433 for joining us in our push to the finals (couldn't have done it without all of you). Almost had it! Props to 1676 especially for reaching 2 capped 6-stack scoring potential for the first time, and doing it several times in the playoff rounds! Big congratulations to 316, 2607, 3314, and 1143. 316 and 2607 are both 2 teams that don't get much press outside of MAR, and they should be--both teams have really strong programs and an increasing propensity for winning events (316 has at least 3 wins this year I believe, and 2607 has at least 4).Lastly, congratulations to 1640 for your 4th (I think) #1 seed this year, and 1640, 1218, and 1626 for hitting a MAR playoff high score of 225 .Last edited by Ben Martin : 16-11-2015 at 11:12. |
