My drivers buttons and good safety glasses
Welding on metal and motors and springs

Game bells and team yells and lots of pool noodles

When i got older,and went to high school
Many years ago
Our school has a First Robotics team
Mentors, teachers, and my partners in crime

Sometimes we work til quarter til three
Hope the school doesn't lock the door

I think its real cool, robotics nerds rule

I'm really handy building a frame
We've got lots of tools
Our design is not the first we tried
We barely got the parts all inside

Doing the wiring,programming speeds

I became a mentor
On a FRC team
To win a regional
Was our teams dream

We stay at hotels
Sometimes stare at the walls
Our team raised money
To pay for it all

Robotics is crazy but i have a good time (oh Yeah, Oh Yeah)
I've been looking for coffee, but really need wine
First's been good to me so far

We built a robot
Thats does One Eighty Five
The Refs said no way
Now it don't drive

We ride on busses
I ride in the back
Sometimes its a long ride
Can't sleep, thats a fact

We're building robots
The kids they can't wait
They like the mentors
Tell them the're great

So we won some blue banners
Gold medals on the wall
I hope that one day
Dean Kamen will call

Lucky i'm sane after all i've been thru

I go to meetings
Sometimes until Four
I've been so tired

Its tough to handle
A robotics team
Each year students are different
But i haven't changed

They say i'm crazy but it would take too much time
