Re: Talons??
Another option is the Spark by Rev, which is cheaper and looks to have the same mounting and wiring interfaces. Though I can't find a drawing or working stp of the Spark to confirm this..
We may also have some Talon SRs lying around. |

The SPARK is close in slze to the old Talon, with a bit of difference (mainly clearance holes for #10 hardware and all the holes on a 3/8in pitch in both directions. It is functionally equivalent to the old talon, with the added benefit of limit switch inputs. More info here www.revrobotics.com/SPARK You can download the Step file here http://www.revrobotics.com/wp-conten...PARK_STEP.step And they can be purchased via Amazon here http://www.amazon.com/REV-Robotics-S...dp/B0187YCAFI/ |

Re: Talons??
Thanks for the messages. We are in preseason training here and have three drive bases we want to have running or team practice and training. I just thought since the new Talons were out maybe there we some deals out there on past, older versions, that we could buy for relatively cheap. We need about 6-8 of them.
Thanks for all the advice |

![]() Echoing what others have pointed out though, Spark controllers may be the direction you want to go if you're looking for a cheap way to emulate the old Talons. |

Failing that, I'll third the recommendation for Sparks-- they're probably cheaper than any deal you'll get on another FRC speed controller, and they're definitely in stock. |
