Here's our coarser build season plan. We're calling kickoff Day 0, and starting week 1 on Sunday.
Day 0- Saturday Jan. 9 2016 Kickoff
  1. Kick off video
  2. Print multiple copies of rules
  3. Rules, Strategy, and research- break into sections for small group concentrations
  4. Mentors- begin field layout/build
  5. Lunch
  6. Proto-ideas
  7. Post meeting: leadership
  8. Decide on 2 drive options
  9. Settle on manipulation “direction”

Week 1
Day 1 Monday, Jan. 11

Pre-practice strategy meeting 4pm

Figure out how we will play FIRST Stronghold
Presentation of ideas
Narrow down to 2 ideas per manipulation
Field build- mentors and volunteers

Day 2 Tuesday, Jan. 12
  1. Watch “Robot in 3 days” video
  2. Finalize concepts
  3. Sketch
    • measurements
    • materials
    • main points
  4. Parts and materials inventory
  5. Detailed time projections
  6. Prototype to prove concept
  7. Pseudo code begins

Day 3 Wednesday, Jan. 13
  1. Optional Leadership meeting
  2. Math and concept design
Day 4 Thursday, Jan 14
  1. Finish prototyping to prove concepts
  2. Eliminate
  3. Breakdown projects- delegations
    • Sensors
    • chassis/drive
    • manipulator 1
    • manipulator 2
    • programming

Day 7 Saturday, Jan 16
  1. Build begins
  2. Materials lists/ BOM begins
  3. Should have sketch by now
  4. begin wiring diagram
  5. begin code
  6. Complete rolling chassis
    • basic for testing
    • alterations

Week 2

  1. Build
  2. Orders for parts should be placed
  3. Driver scouting begins
