Question where to buy!

Hi All

To any team that uses treads: are you allowed to purchase stuff from Brecoflex (or any other company other than small parts)

Are you allowed to purchase sprockets from any company other than small parts?

How to you pay for these, with the $ limit on the robot.

Do donations from spondsers count as money on the robot, or are they 'free' to use, without contributing to the price cap.

Thanks for any info.

Mmm, I can smell the timing belts now...

I don't think there is a price cap this year....the only cap is that of where certain parts can be purchased, and the cap on electronics from Future and/or DigiKey.

I suppose that if your sponsor donated electronics (that you can buy at Digikey) than you would NOT be paying for them, but you would have to account for the DigiKey costs for them on your BOM.

AdamT is on a distinguished road
The way it works is (for the most part):

1) If you can get if from SPI (Small Parts), then you get it there.

2) If you can get it from SPI and the are out of stock or back ordered, you can get the same thing somewhere else.

3) If you can't get it from SPI, check to see if it's in the Additional Hardware list. If it is, you can get it anywhere.

4) If it's not in either, you can get it of use it unless it's fabricated from something purchased from the previously mentioned.

There is no money cap this year except for the circuit board, which you can only spend $100.
