One error in the obstacle of the moat was that the depth of the moat is 2 inches not 2 feet. 2 feet is statistically impossible so it only makes sense to be 2 inches.

I already answered this at your other thread, but this is NOT an error because the "depth" in the manual is referring to the distance across the moat.

Section 5.3.3 Ranking Score says

Ranking Points are units credited to a Team based on their ALLIANCES’ performance in Qualification
MATCHES. Ranking Points are awarded to each eligible Team at the completion of each Qualification
MATCH:
A. Each Team on the winning ALLIANCE receives two (2) Ranking Points.
B. Each Team on the losing ALLIANCE receives zero (0) Ranking Points.
C. In the event of a tied score, all Teams receive one (1) Ranking Point.
D. Each Team on an ALLIANCE that CAPTURES a TOWER receives one (1) Ranking Point.
E. Each Team on an ALLIANCE that BREACHES the OUTER WORKS receives one (1) Ranking
Point.
Exceptions to A-D are as follows:
F. A SURROGATE receives zero (0) Ranking Points.
G. A DISQUALIFIED Team, as determined by the Head REFEREE, receives zero (0) Ranking
Points in a Qualification MATCH or causes their ALLIANCE to receive zero (0) MATCH points
in a Playoff MATCH.
H. A “no-show” Team is DISQUALIFIED from that MATCH. A Team is declared a no-show if no
member of the DRIVE TEAM is in the CASTLE or the SPY BOX at the start of the MATCH.

Is it supposed to say exceptions to A-E? Otherwise it seems to imply that ranking points from breaching defenses apply even if you are otherwise ineligible for ranking points.

Yes, I believe the flags are in the after capture configuration. Figure 1-1 and Figure 2-1 have the flag colors reversed.

How does figure 2-1 show the position of the audience-selected defense? It shows all the defenses, and doesn't mention "audience" at all.

Figures 1-1 and 2-1 couldn't represent an actual game state, because in a real game the defense in the middle slot is same for both alliances. I don't think this is a mistake though--I think they just wanted to show all the different defenses in the same diagram, a configuration which isn't possible in a real match.

Page 100, 5.5.10.1 says that the audience selects Outer Works pos 3, and in figure 2-4, it shows pos 3 as in the center (of the 5 outer works spots) and in fugure 2-1 the audience selected is in pos 2 and 4, which is incorrect.

I'm not sure what you what you mean by saying the audience-selected defenses are in slots 2 and 4. The only distinguishing feature of the audience-selected defenses is that they're in the middle--how can you look at a static diagram and conclude that they're in the wrong place?

Oh, i forgot to change this. I was corrected in another thread, i interpreted the second paragraph on 5.5.10.1 wrong.

When looking at the fields in the manuals, the flags are opposite of what they are in the field tour videos here .

In the manual figure 2-1 is correct, the red flag is on the red alliance with the red secret passage, however, figures 2-2, 2-3, 2-4 and others the red and blue flags are on the opposite side of their alliance. It had some of our students confused at first until using figure 2-1 and compared that to the field tour videos.

If you look at them as being captured, then they are correct.

dibblec: Yours is the definitive answer. Figs 1-1 and 2-1 are correct--the other illustrations are, well...misleading at best. The videos of the actual game field setup clearly show red alliance, red lights, red castle and red secret passage on one end and blue on the other. This also stands to reason from a game play and traditional design pattern--your human player is alongside your drive team.

See Figure 2-22, which clarifies everything.

The two flags appear to be on a mechanism that tilts them down as seen in figure 2-23. All of the drawings and pictures are in a correct state for the start of a match.

In R22, a space is missing between "floor" and "and".

R22 BUMPERS must be located entirely within the BUMPER ZONE, which is the volume contained
between two virtual horizontal planes, 4 in. above the floorand 12 in. above the floor, in reference to
the ROBOT standing normally on a flat floor. BUMPERS do not have to be parallel to the floor.

Bochek is correct. Note that each figure that shows flag colors different from their corresponding Secret Passages are TOP views. From this perspective, you only see the flags that are in the DOWN position - the flags that are raised do not appear (or they only appear as a black line, i.e. the top edge of the raised flag)

It's not quite a mistake, but the manual uses the phrase "undamaged defense" which is extremely vague, and the definition of "undamaged" is never given. Undamaged could be interpreted to mean crossed once, or crossed twice.
