Spy communication
In the rules, it says that anyone within the castle (drivers stations) are not allowed to electronically communicate with anyone outside the castle. I also saw that the rules prohibit any wireless communication within the castle. What I can't seem to find is if the rules state that the spy box is within the castle or not, and if it is, then would I be allowed to have a wired communication device between the human player in the spy box and people in the drivers stations. Does anyone have any answers? all input would be appriciated
~Kai 5013 edit: there cannot be any wired connection between the human player in the spy box and the people in the castle Last edited by Kai_Shafe : 09-01-2016 at 13:06. |

Re: Spy communication
I suggest you look at the definition of the castle.

Re: Spy communication
The spy box does not count as inside of any team's castle.
Cool idea though! |

Re: Spy communication
I think it would be interesting if teams came together and developed a set of hand or flag signals in order for their spies to communicate with the drive teams. Thoughts?

Re: Spy communication
It'd be useful for your alliance partners. But if it's truly standard, then your opponents can read your signals and use that to anticipate your robot's moves. That would allow them to preempt your evasive maneuvers while playing defense. Also, signals used for alliances in elims will probably be specific to their strategy.
