Scaled Robots after round?

Does the robot need to continue hanging after it is powered off, or can it coast down the tower wall? Thanks.

Re: Scaled Robots after round?

The final judgement by the referee as to if the robot has scaled the castle will be made 5 seconds after the end of tele. So yes, it has to be able to hold its self up.

Re: Scaled Robots after round?

What are the rules on getting it back down? Can you turn a robot back on in order to lower it?

Re: Scaled Robots after round?

Not sure. I'm assuming you can't turn your robot back on because the Game Manual clearly says you can't re-enable to get boulders out.

No. You can't power up/tether up a robot after the match. You'll have to lift it off somehow. How exactly you get it off is left as an exercise to the designer.

Read the manual carefully!

You can't power a motor, but you can vent pneumatics or switch the position of a solenoid.

Re: Scaled Robots after round?

The height that the robot must reach for a scale is only 2 feet off the ground. There should be no issues with getting robots down from there. The same as 2010 when robots were hanging in the end game.
