Re: Team Drawing Field BOM?

Thank you so much for putting this together - I started looking through the field components and almost immediately got a (figurative) headache. You're wonderful!

Re: Team Drawing Field BOM?

We are building the Chin-up bar with two ramp corners (1&&2). Then Put a low goal door in it. Then a opening at the top to simulate the High Goal. Kills the whole tower in one device.

Then a Outer reach receptacle to insert the obstacles we are choosing to focus on.

Re: Team Drawing Field BOM?

Here is a link to assist with BOM - our team already has field side walls and the driver stations built from previous years so they are not included. Also, this plans for only one of the 8 defense elements for the field. You may want to build two of each. Estimated sheet totals of plywood and 2X4s are in green cells. We also use OSB for some vertical walls on some elements.

Can anyone explain the need for two different springs on the drawbridge?

Re: Team Drawing Field BOM?

On the sally port, the plan says 3 25" 2 by 4s, put I only see two used in the construction.

Also the 4 ft 2 by 4 18 degree angle cut can be tricky. Really needs a table saw and someone who knows how to do it safely.

We built the Sally Port tonight and noodled over the 3 25" 2X4s, and found the first page materials list only lists 2 of those, but the dimensiond drawings indicate 3. You only need 2.

However, we also found that the door is so heavy on the short little wall, it is pulling it over. Will reinforce with brackets and possibly lighter weight door.
