How much do you need to raise?

My team was a rookie team this year. We finished somewhere in 19th place. And we made to the quarterfinals.

Since we did well this year, my teacher wants us to travel to two regionals and the championship. We will most likely take around 40 ppl per trip.

So far, we have roughly 7,000 dollars set in stone from our sponsors. How much more money do we need? (By the way, we are from orlando, so the central florida regional won't cost much)

well, you need 13,000 in registration fees alone. then it depends if you want the club to subsidize the trips, for example, my teams nationals trip is $200 a person because we use club funds to pay for everything else. we end up spending a good $6000 - $7000 for that trip from our club money, so if your going to pay out of pocket you can get away with just $13000, but if you want the club to pay some, you'll need a good $25,000

My team's looking at $11000 at least this coming year, excluding nats registration and any transportation costs. (Our regional is about half an hour away.)

We need team tools, equipment, registration, and hopefully some left over for team build dinners and such.

We had like 10K going into the year, but after registration, and one regional, along with parts, we have 2K left, with an additional 2K from my school if we make it into nats, which will cover the registration fee only, that was for 1 regional, Then, since there is only one close regional really, although Peachtree isnt too far away from you, if you dont want to pay outrageous costs each for hotels and travel (for Nat's in Houston) it will take more money, especially with 40 ppl, i say just keep fundraising unitl you cant fundraise anymore, i dont think there is ever a time when you raise too much money.
