Please refer to the definition of Crossing in Game Manual section 3.1.3. It should be perfectly clear from that reading that the reverse trip will get you nothing other than a robot in the Neutral Zone. Now, Crossing, traversing in reverse, and Crossing again would get you those 5 points.
